Show Respect
Imagine Someone being so good to you and being kind to you but you do not recognize that they are doing this to spend some time with you and to get to know you. Imagine not being aware of it and you give off disrespect vibes without knowing and later realize that you were completely disrespectful, even when it was not intentional.
The Golden Rule
One of the most Powerful lessons we can ever learn from Godβs Word through the Teaching of The Lord Jesus is βDo unto others as you would have them do unto you.β β¦Wow!!!! This rule is the secret to keeping the second greatest commandment in this generation and this selfish culture in todayβs world. Itβs easy to be on βEye for an eye tooth for a toothβ mode, in todayβs society of pride, disrespect, all about me, selfish, my way, revengeful, evil for evil time. We live in a time where most of the sowers seeds are falling upon thorns; people caught up into the cares of this life and their own way. Where selfishness causes peopleβs to overlook the way that they treat others. The βPaybackβ Generation. Most people are doing the exact opposite: they are doing unto others as they do unto them. Thus, birthing disrespect and causing much offenses.
Disrespect
We know that respect is the condition of being honored. Disrespect is an expression of a βLack of respectβ. It can be intentional or not intentional; either way.. It isnβt something pleasant to feel. Disrespect is probably the #1 cause of friendships and relationships ending. Disrespect creates division in marriages, betrayal in relationships, Jobs being lost, family affairs and most importantly hinderances in our relationship with God.(100% of the time, itβs us who cause the hinderances in our relationship with God; because of our wrong doing and our fulfilling the desires of our mind and bodies.) Disrespect roams to and fro in the earth inhabiting the mind and soul void of Wisdom.
The Way of Respect
A Wise Mind is Careful Not to Disrespect. Wisdom cries in the streets of this world. Her voice is heard by those who seek discipline, love and respect towards God. Wisdom is a Loving Spirit.π―β₯οΈβ¨ Disrespect goes forth from Unrighteousness; as Unrighteousness goes forth into the streets also and gathers those not looking for it. The Way Of Respect is to through Love. Hands down. Itβs almost impossible to do unto others as you would have them do unto you unless you treat yourself well. If you love who you are; and treat others that way. The way of respect is fearing God; and really thinking of how you want to be treated and treating others that way. You might be likeβ¦ hey bro.. what if they donβt respect meβ¦ am i still supposed to respect them? The answer is Yes. Thereβs a blessing on the other side of the golden rule. You always walk away stronger and not stooping down to a level that you are above. You will always have your respect. Although God forgivesβ¦ God always pays back disrespect. He letβs nothing slide. Keeping the golden rule keeps is in good standing with God. The Smallest Disrespect Still Needs A True Apology.
Final Thoughts
Itβs always important to show respect no matter what. Why get into the boat of payback with that other person because you want temporal satisfaction and compromise your peace of mind after the fact. To a degree, respect is earned, but some level of respect is required by God to receive certain promises. We must pay attention to our behavior, tone of voice, mood, attitude, vibes and our energy at all times when others are extending blessings to us, favoring us, choosing us, giving to us, loving us, looking out for us and helping us. Disrespect isnβt always intentional, but itβs important to be present in the moment and operate in love and wisdom so that offenses do not come and we can enjoy the harmony of friendships and relationships. God loves unity, families and relationships. God honors respect. Part of that βWell Done thou good and faithful servantβ comes from practicing and keeping the golden rule, to the best of your ability. Let us always be people known for being respectful. In Jesusβs Name! Amen.
Many Blessings To You!β¨
